[Luckily for him, she's far too caught up in all of the excitement to notice his slight discomfort. There is an... odd sort of expression on his face, but it's only there for a moment before it's replaced by a look complete confusion. Ah, well. She's going to assume it was because of some weird reaction he had to thinking about his friend actually having a life, because he is obviously quite shocked by the whole development. It's actually... pretty hilarious. How can someone be so clueless?

It's like his surprised reaction has humanized him a bit; aside from making sure she doesn't let out a giggle, she really doesn't feel like she needs to walk on eggshells at the moment.
