[I should probably go reply to the stargazing thread, but I'm tired and imagining Okuyasu in a flower crown is giving me life, so—

Ochako is, of course, already waiting in the garden when Okuyasu makes his fashionably late entrance, because flower crowns are very exciting and she can't wait to make one just for him. So there will be no chatting in the garden today! As soon as he comes into view, she gestures for him to hurry up and follow her as she speed-walks down the street.]

It is! [There! Don't make her wax poetic about it!!] But we needed other flowers for Iida, and Todoroki knew where to find purple ones. You really haven't met him yet? He's the guy with the red and white hair who's always with Deku.

[Yes, perfect, his flower is best flower, but remember: he is definitely not... flower guy. Whatever, he's satisfied and grins back at her, then shrugs. Some peppermint-head guy?? Hmm.]

I guess I keep going out whenever you come by to throw flowers on Iida. But this place is so small, I gotta run into him one of these days, right?

[Cold? Blunt? Easily annoyed by LOUD PEOPLE? There's an awkward little pause as she imagines the many things that could go wrong with a random encounter.]

M-Maybe I should introduce you to him!

[Oh, does he need a chaperone... which one of them needs a chaperone, or is it both? He has to wonder.]

It's just that purple and grey flowers are finally visible in the not-so-distant clearing, and while she normally would take the time to paint a better picture... well, there's a more pressing issue at hand. Goodbye, Okuyasu! She's just going to wave at him over her shoulder as she runs ahead yet again. This is becoming a trend.]

Anyway, bye Ochako?! He waves after her and wanders off to find a nice spot to flop down on the ground just like the last time, where he will wait patiently for the flowers of his demise to come back and join him. At least it's a nice day, although she runs the risk of finding him just dozed off in the grass if she takes more than, like, ten minutes to pick the best flowers. What a gamble!! Snoozing or just staring at the sky, very exciting.]

[Of course it takes her longer than ten minutes to collect an armful of perfect flowers? Duh? That's why she isn't even the slightest bit surprised to find Okuyasu napping once she finally makes her way back to him. It's hard to relax in the sun and not fall asleep, she knows, and so she resists the urge to wake him via a shower of flowers and just... stands there instead, taking advantage of this opportunity to study his sleeping(!) face. Ah, but seeing him look so relaxed is...

...Hmm. Carefully sinking down beside him, she spreads the flowers out in front of her before she begins weaving her first crown. It doesn't take long to finish, thanks to all of her recent practice, but even then she doesn't bother to shake him awake; she simply reaches over and gently—gently!!—places the purple and yellow circlet on his chest. Sleep well, Okuyasu! She's perfectly content to sit here for a while, quietly humming to herself as she works on a crown of her very own.]

[He kind of expects her to dump a bunch of flowers on him to wake him up, in the brief seconds before he actually falls asleep - that's probably why he doesn't resist the siren call of a good nap in the sun in the first place. Dumping flowers on him is a very Ochako thing to do! It's a reasonable assumption.

The point is, she doesn't wake him up, so he snoozes on. It's a very peaceful scene, undisturbed even after Okuyasu blinks himself awake again to find Ochako sitting right there. Ah, he completely slept through flower time—but... hmm. He can't help just looking up at her quietly, not calling attention to himself; if he could remember this precise moment, how content she looks...

Anyway— soon enough he realizes there's a flower crown sitting on him, and jeez, how long was he actually asleep? Ahem.]

Uh, hey.

[Watching over Sleeping Beauty isn't a particularly tough task. Ochako keeps herself occupied by continuously un-braiding and re-braiding her flower crown; in fact, she's still weaving long stems of grass into the band when he returns to the world of the living, but she pauses long enough to give him a warm smile.]

Good morning! Did you have a good nap?

[It looked like a good nap. Not that she was, you know... sneaking peeks at him or anything...]

[Caught like the dingus he is... He looks sheepish for all of two seconds, just because he did completely zonk out in the middle of flower crown time. See this? He can't be Okuyasu the flower guy now.

But alright, alright, enough about him napping?!] Yeah, yeah— these things have more, uh, stuff on 'em than I expected.

[He hasn't been inspecting the Iida decorations, so he more or less imagined some flimsy "Hawaiian" party favors, no offense.]

[These things have... character?? She had to throw in some sturdy (re: ugly) grey flowers to help give the whole thing its proper shape, but she tried to cover them up by adding as many of the purple flowers as she possibly could. The end result: his crown is big and loud and probably really embarrassing, and she looks incredibly proud of it.]

But you like them, right? Yours has all of the best flowers.

[Tell her it's ugly.]

[How is he supposed to wear this... there's just so much. He will leave it sitting on his chest for now, where it is safe and less... embarraassing.]

It's kinda more like a flower scarf, huh? Maybe I oughta hang it on my door like a wreath.

[See, he can appreciate it but not put it on his head. Flawless.]

[She's putting the finishing touches on her own monstrosity, so he has a few more minutes to enjoy his crown-free life. As soon as he sits up, though...]

It's too small to be wreath! I could make an even bigger one, though? [Hmm. She shoots him an amused look.] Or maybe you should make a bigger one so I can take a nap.

[That seems perfectly fair to her!!]

I dunno how, and you can't teach me if you take a nap, so I guess not!

[So there!! He grins and pointedly folds his arms behind his head, staying right down here on the ground, where it's comfy and relaxing. No sitting up is on the immediate agenda, sadly.]

If you wanna take a nap, feel free.

[Touché, but what a punk! He's going to sit up whether he likes it or not!! She's almost done tying her crown together, so just wait, Okuyasu... just wait...]

Really? But you won't have anyone to talk to if I take a nap, so then you'll get bored and fall asleep again.

[No, he refuses!! The ground is sooo cozy. He is wholly convinced he's winning this, for the record.]

Then I guess we're both gonna take a nap and nobody's gonna play with more flowers.

[Ah. She ties the last few stems into a neat little bow before she turns toward him once again.]

I think I'll stay awake, then. I really want to see how your flower crown fits! And you are going to wear it, aren't you?

[Because this is totally what this is all about, isn't it? Somebody is being a baby.]

[Nooo... he's just encouraging her to take a nap, totally innocently. It's fine.]

Sure, eventually. [Look how comfortable he is?] For a couple minutes.

[Does their ~calming touch~ work on each other? Do they even still have that ability? Mysterious. Anyway, she sets her finished crown to the side as she gives him a knowing look. Hmm. Hmm.]
