maybe i'd tell them something like, you're always worth it? and that everyone makes mistakes, but that's how everyone learns! if you feel bad about what you've done and you try to never ever do it again, then it's okay to be happy. you can't beat yourself up forever!!!

Perhaps in due time theyll just find happiness in isolation.

That seems ideal since i do like company.. but im just apprehensive and worried. What happens if i hurt somebody again cause im scared to get close to them again? It just makes me feel pretty lousy so i guess i have a tendency to do it so i can protect myself..
that's when you have to TALK to them! when you're feeling scared, or worried, tell them about it!!! and then maybe take a break for a while? just relax somewhere quiet until you feel calmer!

Theoretically it could be that theyve hurt themselves and others in the past.
They could be scared. They might feel like they arent worth it because of that. Maybe they arent worth it after that.
